I’m Luoan, an illustrator and visual designer working between the UK and Taiwan. I create vibrant, narrative-driven illustrations that transform everyday scenes into playful visuals. My work spans book covers, editorial and picturebook illustration, branding, and advertising campaigns, blending imagination and reality through colour, composition, and mixed media. I aim to engage audiences by sparking moments of connection and curiosity.

I hold a Master’s degree in Sequential Design/Illustration from the University of Brighton, and my work has been recognised internationally, including a shortlist in the 2024 Hiii Illustration Awards and long-listings in The Unpublished Picturebook Showcase 6 and BO it! competition. Recent projects include a self-published picturebook exploring neurodiversity, a reflective zine about living abroad, and commissioned illustrations for clients such as Samsung, Bird & Blend Tea Co. and Belfast City Council.
